Clients should be aware that insurance companies often offer money to injured victims in hopes that they can quickly dismiss a case. The reason is so injured victims make a judgment prior to consulting with an attorney, thereby saving insurance companies billions of dollars per year.
Recently, a potential client decided to settle with an insurance company prior to consulting an attorney and now she needs back surgery. Unfortunately, we have to tell her that once you settle you can not get anymore help.
